Sanje Lanka extends its services with Securities and Exchange Commission of Sri Lanka

Sanje Lanka successfully upgraded the previous version of Form-less Document Systems to the latest web based model; Form-less Document Systems Version 3.0 to enhance document management capabilities and flexibilities at Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) of Sri Lanka under the initial software assurance agreement.

With these new enhancements, SEC re initiated its document capture services contract with Sanje Lanka for the third time in consecutive years to provide professional document capture services. Form-less Document Systems at SEC currently manage all the confidential documents with specific security and user accessible functions providing secure, efficient and productive document management environment.

Form-less Document Systems Version 3.0 successfully commenced live run at Tech One Global Private Limited providing enterprise document imaging functionalities including document scanning, quality control, indexing, enterprise search, electronic retrieval and manipulations, reports and number of other standard document imaging features.

In addition to the Form-less Document Systems; Sanje Lanka has implemented high end document capture environment with Kofax Capture Version 8.0 and high end Fujitsu scanner(s). Current document imaging setup specially configured to capture all the important physical documents including financial and HR with the aim of paper-less environment at Tech One Global reducing movements of physical documents and improving online document search and retrieval functionality.

Brunei Department of Museum Chosen Sanje Lanka For Enterprise Archive Management Solution Project

Brunei Department of Museum has chosen Sanje Lanka Private Limited as Consultants and Solution Provider for implementation of Enterprise Archive Management Solution Project under Brunei E-Government Framework. This solution is designed with Sanje Lanka’s flagship product; Form-less Document Systems with several other international enterprise products to covering entire functionalities of Brunei National Archives starting from document acknowledgement, transformation, internal & public workflows, enterprise search & retrieval, archive management and life cycle management.

Sanje Lanka Private Limited commenced the project on 28th March 2009 with its international partners in Brunei Darussalam, CF King Enterprise for Hardware & Infrastructure Implementation and G4S for document capture and data extraction services. Project is planned to be on live run by the end of 2010.

This solution included capturing of several million documents including confidential and public government records, historical documents and publications, video & audio files, microfilms, films, maps, newspapers and historical books and various other achievable documents. Sanje Lanka provides consultation and implementation services for capture management workflows and manage overall capture process throughout this project to ensure all the records capture under international capture standards, which ensure the capability to provide efficient retrievals to both internal and public users meeting international archival standards.

The electronic archive management solution consist with Enterprise Search and Retrieval Module, Capture Management Workflow Module, Record Management Workflow Module, Public Gateway Portal with Membership Management Module, E-Payment Gateway, Digital Asset Management Module, Government Email Archive Module, Back up and Disaster Recovery Management Module with DR Center, Standard Security and Administration Module, Enterprise Workflow Management Module, BI and Report Module, Enterprise Print Module, Multiple Language support and Thesaurus features to provide comprehensive environment with fully automated functionalities. The overall solution is based on Microsoft technologies and various specialized international products that will integrate with Form-less Documents Systems Version 3.0 including Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007, Kofax Capture 8.0, and Microsoft Data Protection Manager, Adobe Production Premium Suit and various Kodak and Fujitsu Capture Management applications.

Sanje Lanka's e-FDS goes over the boundary- Aimed at improving citizen services

 

e-FDS in short form to “e-Formless Document System” is in the heart of Birth Marriage and Death Certificate issuing system implemented in the Colombo District through its 13 District Secretariat  offices. The system implemented in phases since 2005 under the guidance of ICTA in combination with Registrar Generals office under the direct supervision of Mr. G.A.J Sylvester the Government Agent of Colombo District, has made another milestone in extending is boundary of services by enabling access to the system to Registrar of Persons Department for accessing to the information’s of Birth Certificates for verification purposes.

 

This web based solution for document management, the e-FDS is provided by Sanje Lanka absolutely free as an extension to the current system  implemented. The idea of the solution is to find multiple uses to existing investment made by the government for improving the citizen services delivering the dividends.

 

This solution which has won many international contracts for delivering international e-governmental projects in other countries is the flagship product of Sanje Lanka, which is dedicated document management services company. Sanje Lanka bags "SILVER" at NBQSA 2008 for e-Government Services Category

Sanje Lanka wins a “ SILVER” at the prestigious National Best Quality Software Awards 2008, in “e- Government and Citizen services” category. The Software e-FDS (Formless Document Systems) is a AJAX enabled enterprise content management solution with built in workflow and records management functions. The application has been developed based on Microsoft .NET platform and carries major practical inventions / enhancements and features to support low bandwidth internet environment. Citizen services in the developing world has major challenges in terms of available internet bandwidth, processing power ,localization etc where the e-FDS application is addressing most of these issues. This fully web integrated, browser accessible application can further be integrated with Microsoft SharePoint Portal server as well.

Sanje Lanka was selected in 2006 to implement the Birth, Marriage and Death Certification issuing solution for part of Colombo District which was later enhanced to implement in all 13 DS offices in the Colombo district. The project was addressed to solve the issue of delayed processing requests for citizen service of issuing the certified copies of the vital records. Vital records for citizens are important at many stages in their life and play major role in obtaining further services such as obtaining passport , getting an admission of a child to a school to many others. Before implementing the solution the average time for obtaining a certificate was anywhere between few days to few weeks, not to mention the corruption that associated due to nature of the need.

Today citizens in Colombo district can get a copy of their vital record in matter few hours at worst case scenarios to minutes in normal cases, based on the load of the work at the centre and the physical approval process. People have applaud the implementation of the service and now this service is available through all 13 DS offices in the Colombo district. The next level of implementation of the project is on the way for centralized retrieval for issuance of the certificates which will enable any of the DS offices to issue a certificate from any other office. Based on the success of this project, the government also has taken the initiative in taking the service country wide. The Project was champi

oned by Mr. G.A.J Sylvester Colombo District Secretary and was supported by ICTA, Plan International, Sri Lankan Government and Registrar General Office.

Sanje Lanka being a winner at the NBQSA awards has been selected also to represent Sri Lanka at the APICTA 2008 which will happen in Jakarta. APICTA ( Asia Pacific Information Communication Technology Association) showcase the regional countries in the event.

Sanje Lanka is 8 year old organization which has started as a garage business with 2 people today employees more than 100 people and has sold solutions not only in Sri Lanka but as well in the region. Recently Sanje Lanka won a contract with a consortium for providing a complete conversion and implementation of a electronic document management solution at Brunei National Museum. Sanje Lanka won a contract with Sri Lanka Telecom Mobitel to provide scanning and data entry solution for its customer application forms. Under the project Sanje Lanka provides an end to end solution for capture, scan, index and archive customer application forms.

Solution is designed based on the Sanje Lanka's capture expertise and flagship data capture and content management solution e-FDS (Formless Document Systems), which is an Ajax enabled , high performance enterprise content management suite.

This mission critical solution is powered using special tools developed by Sanje Lanka and are being proven and tested in large number of commercial projects. Some of the technologies and tools such as Names Database and Intelligent document analysis tools can increase the capture, index efficiencies by 30-40%.

Sanje Lanka has been selected by Tigo , one of the leading mobile communications operator in Sri Lanka, for capture and archiving of its mobile application forms.

On the deployment completion Tigo will be faciliated with online retrieval of customer related information quickly helping the customer services presonnel to act respondly quickly to customer and management queries.
